Join Amy and Lauren at Chalet Belle Chery for a week of ski development and yoga. This retreat is designed to improve ski performance whilst strengthening the connection between your body and mind.

 

Explore the 12 linked resorts of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski areas in the world, and unwind in a luxury chalet. This is one ski holiday with an exciting twist and not to be missed.

ACCOMMODATION

Nestled in the snowy hillside, just 10 minutes from the nearest ski lift, this stunning converted barn radiates traditional character with all the pleasures of modern luxury living. The focal point of Chalet Belle Chery is undoubtedly the vaulted ceiling with open plan living / dining area and a crackling stove.

The panoramic glazing offers incredible views across the valley to the mountains beyond. Curl up in the cozy sofa around the fire, the perfect place to relax after a long day’s skiing. Or soak tired muscles in the Jacuzzi on the outdoor terrace. Kick back in the cinema room and get lost in an inspirational ski film. Or sink into the bath with a view of the mountains.

EAT

We have created a healthy and energizing vegetarian menu with our chefs to give you the fuel for a full day out on the mountain and on the mat. Combining fresh and colourful ingredients, our menu is creative but most importantly it tastes delicious!

 

Why vegetarian? We wanted to create a different ski chalet experience, so although we don't provide heavy indulgent dinners, you can guarantee you will feel full and satisfied. A vegetarian diet is also in line with yogic tradition and it's a great opportunity to learn about inventive ways of using vegetables to create delicious and substantial meals.  We can cater for all dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free.

RETREAT SCHEDULE

Day 1

Arrival day

  • Pick up from airport, arrive in the mountains and settle in to the chalet. 

  • Ski rental will be delivered to the chalet.

  • Enjoy your evening meal, meet your fellow guests and glide off to bed after a night time meditation.

Day 2

Ski Lesson Day

  • Rise and shine with a morning wake up flow followed by a hearty breakfast.

  • Transfer to the slopes at 9am, your ski lesson will start at either 9:30 or 13:00 for three hours. The rest of your day is yours to explore the ski area.

  • Return to the chalet around 16:00 for afternoon snack and evening yoga.

  • Enjoy a delicious vegetarian dinner then kick back in the cinema room or have a cheeky hot tub soak before bed.

Day 3

Yoga Workshop Day

  • We start our day with a cup of tea followed by a 2hr yoga workshop.

  • Roll up for a delicious brunch and then take your shuttle to the slopes around 11:30.

  • Enjoy some free ski time exploring the resort before taking the shuttle back to the chalet around 16:30.

  • Relax and enjoy the beautiful chalet with afternoon tea.

  • After dinner we will have a Yoga Nidra session before bed to send you on a dreamy sleep.

Day 4

Ski Lesson Day

  • Today takes the same format as Day 2.

  • Your ski instructor will build on the techniques you learned in the last lesson. We will explore another area of the resort together, maybe venture further afield into Switzerland.

  • We will take some video footage of your skiing today. And then later this evening we will have a look at it on the big screen to get some analysis and tips from our instructor on how to improve.

Day 5

Yoga Workshop Day

  • Today will take the same format as Day 3. 

  • Your yoga teacher will delve a little deeper into the positions you learned in the first workshop. We may also take the yoga up a gear and get a good sweat on in order to earn that delicious brunch!

  • You can then take the shuttle to the slopes. Or you might like an afternoon off to relax in the hot tub, take a stroll around Morzine or Les Gets and enjoy the shops, or read a book on the sunny balcony overlooking the mountains.

Day 6

Ski Lesson Day

  • Today takes the same format as Day 2 and 4.

  • This is the day we can take the tips from the video feedback and really put them into practice.

  • We might start exploring some more challenging terrain and give bumps or some easy off piste a try.

  • Tonight we will have a ski movie night in the cinema room complete with tasty snacks. Curl up with a blanket and be inspired!

Day 7

Ski Lesson Day

  • Today takes the same format as days 2, 4 and 6.

  • This is your last opportunity to squeeze as much info as you can out of your instructor! 

  • We will revisit some goals we made earlier in the week and hopefully we will see a change in our ski performance.

  • We set a few challenges for the final ski day or perhaps explore another part of the resort we are yet to visit.

Day 8

Departure Day

  • A light breakfast will be provided for all guests before they depart the chalet.

  • Transfers will be arranged to take you to the airport in good time to catch your flight home.

  • You will leave the mountains feeling stretched, strengthened, motivated and rejuvenated.

** Ski lesson days and yoga workshop days will be scheduled according to weather forecast, however all retreats will consist of four ski lesson days and two yoga workshop days.
